Baker - Indian Cuisine


We are seeking an experienced and skilled Baker to join our team in Akron, Ohio. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Indian cuisine and prior experience working as a Baker in an Indian restaurant or bakery.

As a Baker, you will be responsible for creating and preparing a variety of Indian breads, desserts, and other baked goods. You will also be in charge of ordering ingredients, maintaining inventory, and ensuring all food safety standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake a variety of Indian breads such as naan, roti, and paratha
- Create traditional Indian desserts including gulab jamun, jalebi, and ras malai
- Monitor oven temperatures and adjust as needed to ensure proper baking
- Order ingredients and supplies from approved vendors
- Maintain inventory levels and rotate stock to ensure freshness
- Follow all food safety guidelines and maintain a clean work environment
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to develop new menu items

Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience working as a Baker in an Indian restaurant or bakery
- Knowledge of traditional Indian cuisine and baking techniques
- Ability to read recipes accurately and follow instructions closely
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely delivery of baked goods
- Must be physically able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds

Salary: $900 per week
