Executive Chef - Mombasa, Kenya (Filipino Applicants Preferred)


We are a well-established restaurant in need of an experienced Executive Chef to lead our kitchen team in Mombasa, Kenya. As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the kitchen operations and ensuring the quality and consistency of our food offerings. We are specifically looking for Filipino applicants who have a passion for cooking and are eager to share their cultural cuisine with our customers.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily kitchen operations including food preparation, cooking, and plating
- Develop new menu items and ensure that all dishes meet our standards for taste and presentation
- Train and manage kitchen staff, ensuring they follow proper food safety and sanitation practices
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain efficient operation
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment at all times
- Collaborate with management to create budgets and control costs while maintaining quality
- Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and in working order

Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant setting
- Ability to create innovative dishes while also maintaining traditional Filipino cuisine
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train staff effectively
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal)
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices
- Experience managing inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling costs
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Salary: $1100/month (negotiable based on experience)
