Excavator Operator

The Excavator Operator will be responsible for operating heavy equipment, such as excavators, to dig and move earth or other materials at construction sites. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating excavators and the ability to follow instructions and work efficiently and safely. This position requires physical strength, good hand-eye coordination, and the ability to work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities:
- Operate excavator according to project specifications
- Inspect equipment before use and report any maintenance or safety issues
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment as needed
- Dig trenches, foundations, and other earthworks as directed by supervisor
- Load and unload materials onto trucks or into designated areas
- Follow safety protocols at all times to ensure a safe work environment

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating excavators
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to read and interpret project plans
- Strong knowledge of heavy equipment operation and maintenance procedures
- Physical strength and stamina to operate heavy machinery for extended periods of time
- Good hand-eye coordination and depth perception
- Ability to work well in a team environment

Preferred qualifications:
- Certification in heavy equipment operation from a recognized institution is an asset
Salary: $1700 per month with potential for advancement
