Fitter Technician
As a Fitter Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of various mechanical equipment and systems. You will work closely with a team of engineers and technicians to ensure that all equipment functions safely and efficiently. This position requires strong knowledge of mechanical systems, as well as the ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment such as pumps, motors, compressors, valves, and conveyors
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform necessary repairs or replacements
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Collaborate with engineers to develop solutions for complex technical problems
- Keep detailed records of all maintenance work performed
- Monitor equipment performance and make recommendations for improvements or upgrades
- Train new technicians on proper installation and maintenance procedures
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification preferred
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role as a fitter or technician
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and ability to read technical diagrams/schematics
- Familiarity with hand and power tools used in mechanical repairs
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to evolving technology
Working Conditions:
This is a full-time position based in Funchal. The salary for this position is $1500 per month. Accommodation will be provided by the company. The working hours may vary depending on project deadlines or emergency repairs.
