Chef de Cuisine
The Chef de Cuisine will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our kitchen operations in Plovdiv, including menu planning, food preparation, and staff management. The ideal candidate will have a strong culinary background and experience working in high-volume restaurants. They must also possess excellent leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and design seasonal menus that reflect the local cuisine and incorporate fresh, high-quality ingredients
- Oversee food preparation and ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standard
- Train and mentor kitchen staff on menu items, recipes, and proper cooking techniques
- Manage inventory levels and ensure that all ingredients are ordered in a timely manner
- Monitor food costs and make adjustments as needed to maintain profitability
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment at all times
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and maintain proper hygiene standards
- Handle any customer complaints or issues related to food quality or service promptly
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience as a chef in a high-volume restaurant or hotel setting
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred
- Extensive knowledge of local cuisine, ingredients, and cooking techniques
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Attention to detail with a focus on maintaining high-quality standards
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Salary: $1800 per month
