Merchandiser (Funchal, Portugal)


As a Merchandiser for our retail company in Funchal, Portugal, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper presentation and display of products in our stores. You will work closely with the buying and marketing teams to determine the best placement and promotion strategies to increase sales and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular store visits to ensure products are properly displayed
- Maintain inventory levels and communicate with buying team on restocking needs
- Work with marketing team to plan and execute promotions and displays
- Train store staff on product knowledge and merchandising techniques
- Monitor sales performance and make recommendations for improvements
- Stay updated on market trends and competitor activities to inform merchandising strategies

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in retail merchandising or related field preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience in merchandising or retail management
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Strong organization, prioritization, and time management skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team
- Knowledge of retail industry trends and consumer behavior
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Compensation:
This is a full-time position with a salary of $1400 per month. Accommodation will be provided.
