Database Administrator (English Speaking)


We are currently seeking a Database Administrator to join our growing team in Vianden. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our company's databases, ensuring their integrity and security. You will also be responsible for optimizing database performance and troubleshooting any issues that may arise.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain databases according to business needs
- Monitor and optimize database performance to ensure efficient data retrieval
- Troubleshoot and resolve any database-related issues
- Ensure data security and integrity through regular backups and data encryption
- Collaborate with software developers to integrate new applications with existing databases
- Develop data entry protocols and train employees on proper data handling procedures
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in database technology

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Proven experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of database management systems, specifically MySQL and SQL Server
- Familiarity with database design principles, data normalization, and SQL queries
- Experience with performance tuning, backup and recovery processes, and disaster recovery planning
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Good communication skills in English (French or German is a plus)
