Job Title: Carpenter - Svalbard



As a highly skilled Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, erecting, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard using hand and power tools in the beautiful city of Svalbard. Your primary goal will be to ensure that our clients' projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
-Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine materials required
-Build foundations, walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs using various construction techniques
-Fit and install trim items such as doors, stairs, moldings, hardware
-Measure accurately and mark cutting lines on materials using rulers and marking gauges
-Use hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, chisels to construct wooden structures
-Operate power tools including saws, drills to cut materials according to specifications
-Install structures such as windows and frames according to building plans
-Maintain a clean work area by removing debris and sweeping floors
-Follow safety procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment

Qualifications:
-At least 3 years of experience as a Carpenter in residential or commercial construction projects
-Proficiency in reading blueprints and using carpentry tools
-Knowledge of building codes and safety standards
-Ability to work independently or in a team environment with minimal supervision
-Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy objects
-A valid driver's license is preferred

We offer competitive salary of 1400$ per month without accommodation. However, we do provide transportation to job sites within Svalbard. This position is open for all nationalities with valid work permits.
