Librarian (Nepali Speaking)


We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-oriented Librarian to join our team in Mauren, Nepal. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for maintaining and organizing our library collection, assisting patrons with research and reference inquiries, and promoting library services to the community. This is a contract job without accommodation, so applicants must have their own valid visa for working in Nepal.

Key Responsibilities:
- Organize and maintain library materials according to standard cataloging procedures
- Assist patrons with finding and accessing resources for research and reference purposes
- Develop and conduct library programs to promote literacy and engage the community
- Manage circulation of library materials, including checking in/out items, collecting fines/fees, and updating records
- Collaborate with other librarians to evaluate and select new materials for the collection

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Fluent in English and Nepali languages
- Prior experience working in a library setting preferred
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Salary:
We are offering a competitive salary of 1300$ per month for this position.
