IT Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Manager to join our team in Funchal. As an IT Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our company's technology infrastructure, including hardware, software, and network systems. You will work closely with department heads to understand their technology needs and develop strategies to meet those needs. Additionally, you will manage a team of IT professionals and ensure that all technology systems are running efficiently and securely.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee all technology operations and evaluate them according to established goals
- Develop and implement strategies to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness of technology systems
- Work with department heads to understand their technology needs and provide solutions
- Manage a team of IT professionals, providing guidance and support as needed
- Ensure all technology systems are running smoothly and securely at all times
- Responsible for budget planning, cost control, and resource allocation for all technology initiatives
- Evaluate new technologies and make recommendations for implementation
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in information technology and make suggestions for improvement

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- At least 5 years of experience in information technology management
- Experience overseeing complex technical projects from conception to completion
- Strong knowledge of network architecture, security protocols, and cloud computing platforms
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically under pressure
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical individuals
- Must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively with other departments
- Proven track record of successfully implementing new technologies

Preferred:
- Master's degree in Information Technology or related field
- Experience working in a contract job environment
- Experience working with remote teams
- Knowledge of project management methodologies
