Head Chef

As the Head Chef for our Indian restaurant in Jeddah, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen and leading our culinary team. Your main responsibilities will include creating and updating menus, training and managing kitchen staff, and ensuring quality control and food safety standards are consistently met. You will also be responsible for ordering and maintaining inventory, as well as managing the budget for the kitchen.

We are looking for a passionate and experienced chef who has a deep understanding of Indian cuisine and culture. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience working in a similar role, with a proven track record of successful menu creation and management. Excellent leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure are essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities:
- Create menus that showcase traditional Indian dishes with a modern twist
- Train and manage kitchen staff to ensure consistency in food quality
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area at all times
- Oversee food preparation to ensure timely service
- Ensure all food safety regulations are followed
- Manage budget for the kitchen, including cost control measures
- Collaborate with management on special events or promotions

Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Head Chef or similar role in an Indian restaurant setting
- In-depth knowledge of Indian cuisine, including regional variations
- Experience creating menus that balance traditional flavors with modern techniques
- Ability to train and manage a diverse team
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Valid food safety certification is preferred

Salary: $1400 per month (tax-free)
Location: Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

Note: This position is open to all nationalities but preference will be given to candidates with Indian nationality. Fluency in English is required.
