Cashier (Egyptian Nationals) in Salalah, Oman
As a cashier at our store in Salalah, Oman, you will be responsible for handling cash transactions with customers and maintaining the accuracy of the store's financial records. Your main duties will include scanning items, processing payments, and providing excellent customer service. This is a great opportunity for Egyptian nationals looking to gain experience in a retail environment.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and process all purchases accurately and efficiently
- Operate cash register and handle cash transactions with customers
- Scan items and ensure pricing is accurate
- Collect payments from customers in various forms (cash, credit cards, vouchers)
- Issue receipts, refunds or change to customers when necessary
- Maintain a clean and orderly checkout area
- Answer customer questions about products and prices
- Keep track of inventory levels and report shortages to supervisor
- Cross-sell products and introduce promotions to customers
- Assist with other tasks as assigned by management
Requirements:
- Egyptian nationality preferred
- Fluent in English; Arabic language skills are a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree is a plus
- Proven working experience as a cashier or in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Basic PC knowledge and familiarity with electronic equipment (e.g. cash register, scanners)
- Good math skills for handling transactions accurately
- Customer service-oriented attitude with strong communication skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and evenings
Contract Details:
This is a contract position with an hourly rate of 1200$. The contract length will be determined based on your availability. This is also an ideal job for students looking to gain experience while studying.
