Position: Network and Systems Administrator
Location: Almada, Portugal
Salary: 1100 USD per month
Employment Type: Contract

We are a rapidly growing IT consulting firm in search of a skilled Network and Systems Administrator to join our team in Almada. As our ideal candidate, you will be responsible for maintaining our company's network infrastructure and ensuring the smooth operation of all systems.

Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Identify security vulnerabilities and implement solutions to mitigate risks
- Maintain system backups and disaster recovery plans
- Provide technical support to end-users on various systems and applications
- Develop and maintain documentation for network configurations, processes, and procedures
- Collaborate with other IT team members to design and implement new systems as needed

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience in network administration or a related role
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware or Hyper-V)
- Familiarity with Windows Server operating systems (2008/2012/2016)
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail

Preferred Skills:
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification
- Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure
- Knowledge of Linux operating systems
