Librarian (English-Speaking) in Eschen, Liechtenstein



As a Librarian in Eschen, Liechtenstein, you will be responsible for organizing and managing the library's collections, resources, and services. This includes cataloging and classifying materials, assisting patrons with research and reference inquiries, and planning and implementing library programs and events.

Key Responsibilities:
- Organize and maintain the library's collection of books, journals, documents, and other materials.
- Classify and catalog materials using the Dewey Decimal System or other established methods.
- Assist patrons with research and reference inquiries, providing guidance on finding relevant resources.
- Plan and implement library programs and events to promote literacy, education, and community engagement.
- Manage the circulation of materials including checking in/out items, processing holds/requests, and collecting fines/fees.
- Develop relationships with local schools to promote library services to students.
- Stay up-to-date with current trends in library science and technology to continually improve services.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field.
- Fluency in English (both spoken and written) is required.
- 1+ year(s) of experience working in a library or similar setting preferred.
- Knowledge of cataloging systems (e.g. Dewey Decimal System) is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with patrons from diverse backgrounds.

Benefits:
This is a contract position with a salary of $1600 per month. Accommodation will be provided for the duration of the contract. The successful candidate will also receive a free visa and ticket to travel to Eschen, Liechtenstein.
