Executive Chef
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team in Alta, Norway. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen operations, including menu creation, food preparation, and managing a team of chefs and kitchen staff.
Responsibilities:
- Create and develop innovative menus that meet the dietary preferences and requirements of our guests
- Oversee food preparation and cooking to ensure high-quality dishes are served to our guests
- Manage and train a team of chefs and kitchen staff, setting clear expectations and providing ongoing support
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain smooth operation of the kitchen
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Collaborate with other departments to plan special events or promotions that feature culinary offerings
Requirements:
- Previous experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant or hotel setting
- Strong knowledge of various cuisines, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
- Ability to lead a team effectively, delegate tasks, and provide constructive feedback
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills with fluency in English (Norwegian language skills preferred)
Salary:
This is a part-time position offering a salary of 1600$ per month. Accommodation will be provided.
