Long Haul Truck Driver


We are seeking a reliable and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team in Bungoma. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods over long distances, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining the safety of the cargo. This is a physically demanding job that requires attention to detail and excellent driving skills.

Responsibilities:
- Transport goods over long distances in a safe and timely manner
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment
- Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
- Inspect trucks for defects before and after trips
- Ensure all necessary documentation is completed accurately
- Communicate with dispatchers, other drivers, and customers as needed
- Adhere to traffic laws and regulations at all times
- Perform basic maintenance on trucks, such as filling fuel tanks, checking oil levels, and reporting any mechanical issues

Requirements:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL)
- Proven experience as a long haul truck driver
- Clean driving record with no traffic violations or accidents in the past 5 years
- Ability to navigate through different routes using GPS or maps
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
- Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy objects
- High school diploma or equivalent

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 1200$ per month for this full-time position.

Location:
This position is based in Bungoma, but may require occasional travel to other cities within Kenya.
