Online Tutor for African Students in Akron

We are hiring an online tutor to provide academic support and guidance to African students living in Akron. As a tutor, you will work remotely and provide one-on-one lessons to students in various subjects, including English, math, science, and social studies. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background and experience working with students from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities:
- Develop lesson plans and materials tailored to the needs of each student
- Conduct one-on-one online sessions with students using video conferencing tools
- Assess student progress and provide feedback on areas for improvement
- Communicate with parents or guardians about student performance and progress
- Collaborate with other tutors to develop resources and strategies for supporting African students
- Stay updated on the curriculum and educational trends in Africa to better support students

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in education or related field
- Experience working as a tutor or teacher, preferably with African students
- Strong communication skills and ability to adapt teaching methods to different learning styles
- Proficiency in English (other languages such as French or Arabic are a plus)
- Reliable internet connection and access to video conferencing tools

Salary: $1200 per month (full-time)

Location: This is a fully remote position based in Akron. Candidates from other locations will also be considered.
