Preservation Architect


As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings, structures, and sites. You will use your expertise in architectural design, building materials, and construction techniques to ensure the authenticity and integrity of these historical structures are maintained. Your role will involve conducting thorough assessments of buildings, developing preservation plans, and overseeing restoration projects.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of historic buildings to identify any structural issues or potential risks
- Develop preservation plans that outline the necessary repairs or restoration work needed for a historical structure
- Work closely with other architects, engineers, and construction workers to oversee restoration projects
- Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with preservation standards and guidelines
- Research the history and background of a historical structure in order to better understand its original design and materials
- Make recommendations for appropriate materials and techniques to use during restoration projects
- Collaborate with local authorities and community organizations to obtain necessary approvals for restoration work
- Provide regular updates on project progress to stakeholders
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all restoration work

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture
- Minimum of 3 years experience in preservation architecture
- Strong understanding of architectural design principles, building materials, and construction techniques
- Knowledge of preservation standards and guidelines
- Experience conducting assessments of historic buildings
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or other architectural software
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Attention to detail

Salary: $1300 per month

Location: Faisalabad, Pakistan

Type: Full-time
