Concierge at a Luxury Hotel in Funchal, Portugal


We are seeking a highly organized and customer-oriented Concierge to join our luxury hotel in Funchal, Portugal. As a Concierge, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and creating memorable experiences for our guests during their stay.

Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests upon arrival with a warm and friendly attitude
- Assist guests with check-in and check-out processes, including handling luggage
- Provide recommendations and make reservations for local restaurants, activities, and transportation services
- Coordinate with other hotel staff to ensure all guest requests are fulfilled in a timely manner
- Keep updated information on local events, attractions, and services to share with guests
- Handle guest complaints or concerns in a professional and efficient manner
- Maintain the lobby area and ensure it is clean, presentable, and well-stocked with necessary supplies
- Collaborate with housekeeping to ensure guest rooms are cleaned according to hotel standards
- Handle cash transactions for hotel services such as room service or laundry

Requirements:
- Previous experience as a concierge or in a customer service role is preferred
- Excellent communication skills in English (knowledge of other languages is a plus)
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously
- Strong knowledge of the local area's attractions and services
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays if needed
- Basic computer skills for reservations and record keeping purposes
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds

Salary: $1800 per month
