Senior Accountant


As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial activities of our company in Mombasa. This position requires someone with strong analytical skills and attention to detail, as well as a deep understanding of accounting principles and practices. We are seeking a highly organized individual who can manage multiple tasks and work efficiently under pressure.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Conduct monthly reconciliations of bank accounts and general ledger accounts
- Ensure compliance with all local tax regulations and reporting requirements
- Monitor budget variances and provide analysis on financial performance
- Prepare financial reports for management on a regular basis
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 5 years experience in an accounting role, preferably at a senior level
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Experience with financial reporting software
- Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Familiarity with local tax regulations
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
