Customer Service Cashier



As a Customer Service Cashier, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to customers at checkout. You will handle cash and card transactions accurately and efficiently while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
- Greet customers with a smile and provide prompt service at the checkout counter
- Scan items accurately and process cash and card payments
- Handle returns and exchanges in accordance with company policies
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- Assist customers with locating products and answering questions about pricing, promotions, and store policies
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations of the front end of the store
- Follow proper cash handling procedures to minimize errors and maintain security of funds
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a cashier or in customer service is preferred but not required
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time, lift up to 25 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Attention to detail, with the ability to spot pricing or scanning errors
- Friendly demeanor with strong customer service skills
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Salary: $1000 per month
