Housekeeping Assistant


Our hotel in Akron is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant to join our team. As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the hotel. This position is ideal for individuals with previous cleaning experience and a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain guest rooms, public areas, and back of house areas according to hotel standards
- Change linens, make beds, and replenish supplies in guest rooms
- Vacuum, sweep, mop, and dust all surfaces
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms
- Replenish amenities in guest rooms as needed
- Report any maintenance issues or damages to management
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request replenishment when needed
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and report any malfunctions
- Follow all safety procedures including proper handling of cleaning chemicals
- Assist with other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in housekeeping or janitorial services preferred
- Ability to work independently without supervision
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions closely
- Good physical stamina and dexterity for prolonged periods of walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 25lbs.
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
