Entry-Level Turner - Washington, D.C.


We are a well-established company in Washington, D.C. seeking an Entry-Level Turner to join our team. As a Turner, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of machinery to shape and form metal parts for our products. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with their hands and has a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities:
- Operate lathes, grinders, drills, and other machinery to shape and form metal parts according to specifications
- Read blueprints and technical drawings to determine the correct dimensions and tolerances for each part
- Inspect finished parts for quality control and make any necessary adjustments
- Troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the machining process
- Maintain an organized and clean work area at all times
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred but not required
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Basic math skills including fractions, decimals, and geometry calculations
- Strong attention to detail with excellent hand-eye coordination
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Willingness to learn new techniques and processes

Salary: $1000 per month
