Data Mining Analyst
Location: Funchal, Portugal

As a Data Mining Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing large datasets to discover patterns, trends, and insights that will inform business decisions. Your main focus will be on identifying valuable information and delivering actionable reports to stakeholders. You will need to have a strong background in data mining techniques and programming languages such as SQL, Python or R. This role requires attention to detail, critical thinking skills and the ability to work with complex information. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in data mining and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or related field.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct data mining using various methods such as clustering, classification, regression and association rules.
- Identify patterns and trends in data sets to inform business decisions.
- Develop and implement data models and algorithms.
- Create visualizations and reports to communicate insights to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements for data analysis projects.
- Clean and preprocess data for analysis purposes.
- Monitor the performance of data mining models and make necessary adjustments.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments in data mining techniques.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in data mining or a similar role.
- Proficient in programming languages such as SQL, Python or R.
- Knowledge of statistical methods and techniques used for data analysis.
- Familiarity with visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to think critically about complex problems.
