Database Administrator
A growing company in Ashdod is seeking a skilled and experienced Database Administrator to join our team. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills and a passion for data management. The role requires proficiency in database administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting, as well as the ability to develop efficient data storage and retrieval processes. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary of 1700$ per month. English language skills are not required, making this job suitable for Egyptian or Nepali candidates. Previous experience in database administration is preferred but not required. This role does not include accommodation.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement efficient databases based on business requirements
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as backups, restores, and upgrades
- Develop data storage and retrieval processes to optimize efficiency
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure data integrity and accuracy
- Maintain database security by implementing access controls and monitoring for potential risks
- Train staff on proper use of databases and provide technical support when needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Proven experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Proficiency in SQL and other programming languages used for database management
- Experience with database design, performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and patterns in data sets
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently without supervision
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Previous experience working with large-scale databases or big data platforms
- Knowledge of cloud-based database systems such as AWS or Azure
- Certifications in database administration or related fields
