Cruise Line Chef
As a Cruise Line Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals for guests on board the ship. Your main duties will include planning menus, managing inventory and supplies, and supervising kitchen staff. You will also work with the cruise line's dining team to ensure high-quality food is served to guests throughout their voyage.
To be successful in this role, you should have a passion for food and excellent culinary skills. You must also have experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment and be able to adapt to different dietary restrictions or preferences.
Responsibilities:
- Create menus that cater to a diverse group of guests, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and preferences
- Prepare and cook meals for large groups of people, ensuring high-quality standards are met
- Manage inventory and supplies to ensure timely delivery and minimize waste
- Train and supervise kitchen staff on cooking techniques, safety procedures, and sanitation standards
- Collaborate with the dining team to coordinate meal service times and ensure guest satisfaction
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen at all times
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Chef in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent culinary skills with knowledge of various cooking techniques
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks
- Strong communication skills
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
- Flexibility to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Salary: 900$ per month (plus tips)
Location: Al-Rayyan (Indians preferred)
