Truck Driver - Svalbard


We are hiring a reliable and competent Truck Driver to join our team in Svalbard. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods and materials to various locations within Svalbard. This is a contract position with a starting salary of $1800 per month, along with accommodation provided and visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities:
- Safely operate and maintain company trucks
- Plan routes and schedules for timely delivery of goods
- Load and unload cargo onto truck
- Ensure all necessary documents are in order for transportation
- Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and other drivers
- Inspect truck for any mechanical issues before and after trips
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations

Requirements:
- Valid driver's license for operating trucks in Svalbard
- Clean driving record
- Ability to lift heavy cargo (up to 50 lbs)
- Knowledge of truck maintenance and repair
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications:
While prior experience is not required for this position, we prefer candidates who have some experience in truck driving. We are also open to hiring international applicants who require visa sponsorship.
