Part-Time Librarian
Location: Dar Kulaib, Bahrain


We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Librarian to join our team on a part-time basis. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for organizing and maintaining our collection of books, magazines, and other materials. Your main goal will be to facilitate access to information and promote a love of reading among our patrons.

Responsibilities:
- Organize and classify books, magazines, and other materials according to the library's cataloging system
- Assist patrons in finding and selecting materials
- Answer reference questions and provide information on library services
- Maintain the library's collection by processing new materials, repairing damaged items, and removing outdated or damaged materials
- Create displays and programs to promote reading and engage the community in library activities
- Keep track of borrowed materials and collect fees or fines for late returns
- Train and supervise volunteers or student assistants as needed
- Stay up-to-date on new releases, popular titles, and emerging trends in literature

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred
- Previous experience working in a library setting is required
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with people of all ages
- Knowledge of cataloging systems and library classification methods
- Familiarity with reference resources such as databases, online catalogs, etc.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Working Conditions:
This is a part-time position requiring approximately 20 hours per week. The schedule may include evenings and weekends. The salary for this position is 1200$ per month.
