Entry-Level Librarian in Dar Kulaib, Bahrain


We are in need of an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Entry-Level Librarian to join our library team in Dar Kulaib, Bahrain. As an entry-level librarian, you will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of library operations including circulation, reference services, and collection maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patrons with locating and checking out materials
- Provide reference and research assistance to library users
- Process new materials for circulation and maintain accurate records
- Help maintain the organization and appearance of the library
- Provide reader advisory services to patrons
- Assist with collection development by recommending new materials for purchase
- Perform routine tasks such as shelving, shelf-reading, and inventory maintenance
- Collaborate with other librarians to plan and implement library programs and events

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred but not required
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Arabic is a plus
- Strong customer service skills and ability to work well with diverse groups of people
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to adapt to changing technology
- Knowledge of library resources, systems, and tools
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Flexibility to work evenings or weekends when needed
