Instrument Technician


We are hiring an experienced Instrument Technician to join our dynamic team in Funchal. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various types of instruments and control systems used in industrial and manufacturing facilities. Your expertise in troubleshooting and problem-solving will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our clients’ equipment.

Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair a wide range of instruments and control systems such as pressure gauges, flow meters, temperature sensors, PLCs, and transmitters
- Troubleshoot issues with instruments and control systems using various diagnostic tools
- Perform routine calibration checks on instruments to ensure accurate readings
- Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repair work performed
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in instrument technology
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to identify potential problems or improvements in equipment performance

Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Instrument Technician or similar role
- Associate degree or certification in Instrumentation or related field preferred
- Strong understanding of electrical circuits and wiring diagrams
- Familiarity with various types of instruments including analog and digital devices
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and pressure calibrators
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
- Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members

Salary:
As an Instrument Technician at our company, you can expect a competitive salary of $1700 per month. We also offer opportunities for career growth within our organization.

Location:
This is a contract position based in Funchal. However, we also have clients throughout the country so occasional travel may be required.
