Land Surveyor
We are seeking a skilled Land Surveyor to join our team in Nairobi, Kenya. As a Land Surveyor, you will be responsible for conducting surveys and producing accurate data and maps for construction projects, land development, and other purposes. This role requires someone with experience in using surveying equipment and software, as well as knowledge of land surveying techniques and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct surveys to determine precise locations, distances, and elevations of points, boundaries, and features on land
- Use surveying equipment such as levels, total stations, GPS receivers, and drones to collect data
- Analyze survey data to prepare maps, plans, and reports
- Verify the accuracy of survey data including measurements and calculations
- Communicate with clients and team members to discuss project requirements and progress
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and safety guidelines
- Keep accurate records of survey data and maintain equipment
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Surveying or related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience in land surveying
- Proficiency in using surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS receivers, etc.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or other mapping software
- Strong mathematical skills for accurate measurements and calculations
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members
This is a full-time position with a salary of $1000 per month. Visa sponsorship is available for non-Kenyan candidates. Part-time positions may also be available for students.
