Handyman (Contract) - Svalbard, Norway


We are in search of a skilled Handyman to join our team on a contract basis in Svalbard, Norway. As a Handyman, you will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and general upkeep of our facilities. This position requires someone with previous experience in a similar role and the ability to work independently. The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance and repairs on buildings and equipment
- Complete carpentry tasks such as framing, painting, and installing drywall
- Handle plumbing tasks such as fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and replacing fixtures
- Conduct electrical work including changing light bulbs, repairing outlets, and troubleshooting issues
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner
- Keep track of inventory and order necessary supplies when needed

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Handyman or similar role
- Knowledge of basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and other general handyman duties
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks for extended periods of time
