Library Assistant

We are in search of a highly organized and detail-oriented Library Assistant to join our team at a library in Vianden. The ideal candidate will have a passion for books and the ability to provide excellent customer service to library patrons. This role is perfect for someone with a biometric passport seeking their first job or for women looking to kickstart their career in the library field.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with circulation duties such as checking in and out books, shelving materials, and collecting fines
- Help patrons locate materials and answer basic reference questions
- Process new materials for circulation
- Maintain order and cleanliness of the library
- Assist with programming and events, such as story time for children or book clubs
- Provide excellent customer service to all library patrons
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth operation of the library

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Familiarity with basic computer programs, such as Microsoft Office Suite
- Passion for books and reading
- Previous experience working in a library is preferred but not required
