Junior Accountant

We are a dynamic accounting firm in Braga seeking a talented and ambitious Junior Accountant to join our team. This is a contract position with the potential for full-time employment upon successful completion of the contract.

Responsibilities:
- Assisting with bookkeeping and data entry tasks
- Preparing financial statements and reports
- Calculating and filing taxes
- Conducting audits and reconciliations
- Communicating with clients to gather necessary information
- Collaborating with senior accountants on various projects

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (students currently pursuing their degree will also be considered)
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks)
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Fluent in English (Portuguese is a plus)

Salary:
Starting salary for this position is $1600 per month, with potential for growth based on performance.

Location:
This position is located in Braga, Portugal. Applicants must have the legal right to work in Portugal.
