Milling Machine Operator
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Milling Machine Operator to join our team in Nakuru. As a Milling Machine Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating milling machines to produce precision parts and products according to specifications. Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate milling machines to perform precision machining operations
- Read blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine machine setup, production methods, and sequence of operations
- Load materials into the milling machine using hoists or cranes
- Adjust machine controls to regulate factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth of cut
- Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as needed for quality control
- Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers
- Troubleshoot issues with machines or products as needed

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification preferred
- 1-2 years of experience operating milling machines or other machinery in a manufacturing setting preferred but not required
- Basic knowledge of blueprints and engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions
- Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy materials
- Basic math skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Salary: $1600 per month (negotiable based on experience)

Location: Nakuru, Kenya
