Milling Machine Operator

We are hiring a skilled Milling Machine Operator to join our team in Nakuru, Kenya. As a Milling Machine Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating milling machines to produce precision parts and components. You will work with a variety of materials, including metal and plastic, and use various tools to ensure quality and accuracy.

Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate milling machines according to production specifications
- Read blueprints or technical drawings to determine machine setup and tool selection
- Inspect raw materials for defects and make necessary adjustments
- Monitor machine operations to ensure smooth production process
- Use precision measuring instruments to check dimensions of finished products
- Troubleshoot issues that may arise during production process
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Milling Machine Operator or similar role
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read technical drawings/blueprints
- Knowledge of cutting tools and their applications on different materials
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments
- Basic math skills
- Good physical stamina, as the job may involve standing for long periods of time
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently

Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with biometric passport production machinery
- Fluency in English
