We are currently seeking an experienced Turner to join our team on a contract basis in Porto, Portugal. As a Turner, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various machine tools to fabricate metal parts according to specifications. This includes setting up and adjusting machines, selecting appropriate tools and materials, and performing quality checks on finished products.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate various machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders
- Read and interpret engineering drawings to determine specifications and tolerances
- Select appropriate cutting tools and materials for each job
- Set up machines by installing fixtures, attachments, or programs
- Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality standards
- Inspect finished products for defects or deviations from specifications
- Maintain equipment by performing routine maintenance tasks and cleaning as needed

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Turner or in a similar role
- Knowledge of different types of machine tools and their functions
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience with precision measurement equipment
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid work permit for Portugal
