Interpreter - English/French
City: Os, Norway
We are searching for a skilled Interpreter to join our team in Os, Norway. As an Interpreter, you will be responsible for providing accurate and efficient translation services between English and French. Your role will involve working closely with clients from various industries, including business, legal, and healthcare. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1100$. Responsibilities:
- Provide consecutive or simultaneous interpretation between English and French for meetings, conferences, and other events
- Accurately translate written documents from English to French and vice versa
- Work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide high-quality interpretation services
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times while interpreting sensitive information
- Research terminology and industry-specific jargon to ensure accurate translation
- Collaborate with other interpreters to ensure consistency in interpretation methods
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an interpreter in both English and French languages
- Excellent verbal communication skills in both languages with the ability to interpret in real-time
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other translation software programs
- Strong understanding of cultural differences between English-speaking countries and France
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Bachelor's degree in Translation, Interpretation or related field is preferred
- Must be willing to relocate to Os, Norway
