Executive Chef vacancy in Nizwa Oman

Head Chef

We are seeking a skilled and creative Head Chef to join our team at a luxury hotel in Nizwa. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the culinary operations of the hotel's multiple restaurants and banquet events. This includes menu planning, food preparation, and training and managing kitchen staff. The ideal candidate must have a passion for food and excellent leadership skills to inspire and motivate their team. A minimum of 5 years experience as an Executive Chef or Head Chef in a high-end establishment is required. Candidates with international experience are preferred, but not required. The salary for this position is $1400 per month.

As the Head Chef, your responsibilities will include:

- Creating innovative menus that cater to a diverse range of guests
- Ensuring all dishes are prepared to the highest quality and presentation standards
- Managing inventory and controlling food costs
- Recruiting, training, and supervising kitchen staff
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized kitchen environment
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure smooth operation of all culinary services
- Staying updated on industry trends and incorporating them into menu development

Requirements:

- Minimum 5 years experience as an Executive Chef or Head Chef in a high-end establishment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate staff
- Excellent knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and presentation
- Proven track record of creating innovative menus that meet guest expectations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Good communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus)
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
