We are in search of an experienced and talented Executive Chef to join our team at a high-end restaurant in Doha, Qatar. The ideal candidate will be a skilled and creative chef with a passion for crafting delicious dishes using fresh and high-quality ingredients. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for managing the kitchen operations, creating new menu items, ensuring food quality and safety, and training and supervising kitchen staff.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure smooth functioning
- Create new menu items and update existing menus to keep up with food trends
- Ensure food quality and safety standards are met at all times
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food preparation
- Collaborate with other departments such as purchasing, finance, and marketing
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a fine dining establishment
- Excellent knowledge of culinary techniques and practices
- Solid understanding of food cost control measures
- Good leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills in English
Salary: 1800$ per month
Location: Doha, Qatar (Preference for Kenyan nationals)
