Preservation Architect


A well-established architectural firm in Oslo, Norway is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Preservation Architect to join our team. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings and structures while adhering to strict preservation guidelines and regulations.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed assessments of historic buildings and structures to determine preservation needs
- Develop preservation plans and proposals for clients
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to ensure preservation projects are carried out effectively
- Oversee the implementation of preservation projects, ensuring all work is done in accordance with preservation standards and guidelines
- Conduct historical research on buildings and structures to inform restoration efforts
- Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed plans and drawings for preservation projects
- Monitor project budgets and schedules to ensure timely completion within budget constraints

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience in historic preservation or restoration projects
- Strong knowledge of local, state, and national preservation regulations and guidelines
- Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant design tools
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team

Salary: 1100$ per month

Location: Oslo, Norway

Preferred Requirements:
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Experience working on international historic preservation projects
- Familiarity with sustainability practices in historic building restoration
- Fluency in Norwegian or another Scandinavian language
