Part-Time Librarian at Clairvaux Public Library


We are seeking a skilled and passionate Librarian to join our team at Clairvaux Public Library. As a Part-Time Librarian, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and support to library patrons, maintaining the library's collection, and assisting with various library programs and events.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting patrons with finding materials, answering reference questions, and providing technology support.
- Maintain the organization of the library's collection through shelving, weeding, and inventory management.
- Assist with planning and implementing library programs and events for all ages.
- Utilize the library's online catalog system to check materials in/out, place holds, and process new materials.
- Collaborate with other library staff to develop engaging displays and promote library services.
- Stay up-to-date on current trends in literature and technology to provide knowledgeable recommendations to patrons.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a library or similar setting.
- Strong customer service skills with a passion for helping others.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using computers including Microsoft Office and online catalog systems.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Library Science.
- Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish).
- Experience working with diverse populations.
