We are currently hiring a skilled and experienced Civil Engineer - Structural Designer to join our dynamic team in Bergen, Norway. As a Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, planning and overseeing the construction of various structures such as buildings, roads, bridges, and tunnels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop structural plans using computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Conduct site visits to gather information on project requirements and assess feasibility
- Prepare technical reports and drawings for clients and project stakeholders
- Collaborate with architects, contractors and other professionals to ensure the structural integrity of projects
- Monitor construction progress and make necessary adjustments to plans as needed
- Perform calculations to determine the strength and stability of structures
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and other legal requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience in structural design or construction engineering
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD or Revit
- Strong understanding of structural analysis, design principles and building materials
- Knowledge of relevant building codes and regulations in Norway is preferred but not required
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
