Our engineering firm in Funchal is seeking an experienced Turner to join our team. As a Turner, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various machine tools to shape metal parts to precise measurements. This position requires a high level of skill and experience in the field of metalworking.

Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders to produce parts according to specifications
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine machine setup and production methods
- Use precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy of finished parts
- Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as needed for quality control
- Maintain machines by performing routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, oiling, and replacing worn parts
- Troubleshoot issues with machines and make necessary repairs

Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Turner in a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Knowledge of various types of metalworking techniques and equipment
- Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints
- Proficient in using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality work within tight tolerances
- Good physical stamina with the ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects

This position offers a competitive salary of $1300 per month. We also provide accommodation for our employees. Applicants must have their own visa or be eligible to work in Portugal.
