Crane Operator



A crane operator is responsible for operating a variety of cranes to lift, move, and position heavy objects such as construction materials, equipment, and containers. They are typically employed in the construction, manufacturing, and transportation industries.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate different types of cranes including mobile, tower, and overhead cranes according to safety standards and manufacturer's instructions
- Inspect and maintain the crane before and after each shift to ensure it is in good working condition
- Communicate with ground crew using hand signals or radio to ensure safe movement of materials
- Read and interpret load charts to determine appropriate crane capacity for specific jobs
- Plan lift operations by assessing potential hazards and selecting appropriate rigging techniques
- Follow all safety regulations and precautions to prevent accidents or injuries
- Complete daily logbook entries detailing crane activities and maintenance checks
- Train new crane operators on proper procedures for safe operation of equipment

Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a crane operator in a construction or industrial setting
- Valid crane operator certification or license
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures for operating cranes
- Ability to read load charts and perform basic mathematical calculations
- Physically fit with good hand-eye coordination and depth perception
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Must be able to understand basic English instructions

Salary:
The salary for this full-time position is $1200 per month. Additional benefits may include health insurance, paid time off, and retirement savings plans.
