Barista - Coffee Shop Assistant


We are seeking a skilled and experienced Barista to join our team at a busy coffee shop in La-Condamine. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of coffee and tea beverages, as well as assisting with the day-to-day operations of the coffee shop.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and tea beverages in accordance with customer orders.
- Ensure all drinks are made to the highest standard, using proper brewing methods and measurements.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including all equipment and utensils.
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed.
- Provide exceptional customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and handling any complaints or concerns.
- Follow health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe environment for both customers and employees.
- Assist with food preparation, including sandwiches, pastries, and other snacks.
- Cash handling responsibilities including operating the POS system, handling cash transactions, and balancing daily sales.

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience working as a Barista in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Strong knowledge of different types of coffees, teas, brewing methods, and latte art.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills in English (French is an asset).
- Must have a biometric passport or be eligible to obtain one.
- Flexible availability to work morning shifts (7am - 3pm) or evening shifts (3pm - 11pm) on weekdays and weekends.

We offer competitive salary starting at $1800 per month based on experience. This is a contract position without accommodation provided.
