We are a leading architectural firm seeking an experienced Preservation Architect to join our team in Svalbard, Norway. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving historical and cultural buildings and structures through careful planning, restoration, and conservation. This is a contract position with a salary of 1600$ per month and includes accommodation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough research on the history and significance of buildings or structures
- Develop preservation plans and recommend appropriate techniques for restoration
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to ensure successful preservation projects
- Monitor and document progress of restoration projects
- Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations
- Maintain accurate records of preservation work for future reference
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Preservation Architect
- Strong knowledge of historical architecture and preservation techniques
- Excellent research, planning, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
