Executive Pastry Chef


We are seeking a talented and experienced Executive Pastry Chef to join our team at a luxury hotel in Bansko, Bulgaria. As an Executive Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the pastry department, creating new and innovative desserts and pastries, and maintaining high levels of quality and consistency.

Main Duties:
- Develop new dessert menus that showcase creativity and innovation while also meeting the dietary needs of guests
- Train and supervise pastry staff members in proper techniques, recipes, and food safety standards
- Oversee the production of all baked goods, pastries, and desserts for the hotel’s restaurants, banquets, and room service
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies to ensure efficient ordering and minimize waste
- Maintain high levels of cleanliness in the pastry kitchen according to health codes and company standards
- Collaborate with other executive chefs to create cohesive menus that meet guest expectations
- Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure all pastries are up to standard

Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years experience as an Executive Pastry Chef in a luxury hotel or fine dining restaurant setting
- Extensive knowledge of baking techniques, including breads, cakes, pastries, chocolates, etc.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in managing a team of pastry chefs
- Ability to create new and unique desserts while also adhering to dietary restrictions or special requests from guests
- Knowledge of food safety guidelines and ability to maintain a clean kitchen environment at all times
- Fluent in English (knowledge of Bulgarian is an asset but not required)

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary package starting at $1800 per month for this position. Additional benefits may include health insurance coverage, vacation time, performance bonuses based on revenue targets.
