Part-Time Librarian


As a part-time Librarian in Khanpur, you will be responsible for maintaining and organizing our library collection, providing excellent customer service to library patrons, and assisting with various administrative tasks. This position requires a candidate with prior experience in a library setting and the ability to work independently and efficiently. Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the organization of our library collection by shelving, cataloging, and processing materials
- Assist patrons in finding materials and providing recommendations based on their interests
- Answer reference questions and provide research assistance
- Manage circulation desk duties including issuing library cards, checking out items, and collecting fines
- Create displays to promote new materials or themed collections
- Assist with planning and implementing library programs and events
- Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, inventory management, and maintaining records

Requirements:
- Prior experience working in a library setting is required
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to work well with diverse populations
- Proficient computer skills including knowledge of library systems/software such as Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) or Library of Congress Classification (LCC)
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of other languages is a plus

Working Hours:
This is a part-time position with flexible working hours. The schedule will include evenings and weekends.

Salary:
The salary for this position is 1700$ per month.

Location:
This position is located in Khanpur but candidates from surrounding areas are welcome to apply.
