Land Surveyor
As a land surveyor, you will be responsible for conducting surveys and creating accurate maps and legal documents for land development projects. You will use specialized equipment and technology to measure and map the earth's surface, as well as collect data on the shape, contour, location, and elevation of land features.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct surveys using specialized equipment such as GPS, total stations, and aerial photography
- Collect data on land boundaries, topography, and existing structures
- Create accurate maps and legal documents for land development projects
- Analyze survey data to determine property boundaries and provide information for construction projects
- Prepare reports, including descriptions of property boundaries and any discrepancies found during surveys
- Work closely with engineers, architects, and other professionals to ensure accurate survey information is incorporated into project plans
- Keep up-to-date with industry developments in surveying technology and techniques
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in surveying or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in land surveying
- Strong knowledge of surveying equipment and software
- Familiarity with local laws and regulations related to land development
- Attention to detail with strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Physical stamina for working outdoors in varying weather conditions
Salary: $1200 per month
